She starts off with Tellkamp's Der Turm, and also discusses "Marcel Beyer's finely wrought Kaltenburg", "Adam und Evelyn, Ingo Schulze's new novel about the end of the GDR", and -- in an odd fit -- Swiss author Lukas Baerfuss' Rwanda-novel Hundert Tage.
